After earning her degree in journalism, Tihana started working in leading print lifestyle media. In search for a different reflection on so-called women’s literature, she founded the library “ČitaOna” (She Reads) dedicated to famous female authors whose novels, despite appearing romantic and simplistic in nature, cover important topics such as domestic violence and a lack of self-confidence due to socially imposed norms.   Since 2013, she has been the editor of the most read Croatian lifestyle portal, in which she regularly conveys the importance of tolerance, empathy, inclusiveness and self-care. With this goal, she is launching the Zadovoljna akademiju (Satisfied Academy), a lifelong learning project for women. Over the course of six seasons, more than 160 women from all over Croatia have completed selected educations free of charge.   Tihana initiated the #uLicejunakinja project in 2019 to urge greater representation of women in the process of naming streets and squares after deserving women from Croatian history.   In 2019, she launched the campaign “Čitaj između redaka” (Read between the lines), which donated 60 books to school libraries with the aim of making major works of Croatian and world literature accessible to underfunded schools.   Some inspirational and important topics for an open society have come from within the scope of the website. The portal’s short film about Lea Deutsch, the Croatian Anne Frank, was shown at the Festival of Tolerance, and was one of the winners of the Luka Ritz award in 2017 at the KinoKino festival.   Tihana believes that lifestyle transcends the boundaries of “women’s” topics and includes a much wider range of choices and actions. Therefore, in 2021 zadovoljna.hr launched “Izbori se” (fight for), a project emphasizing the importance of voting in local elections.
