In addition to being a symbol of free spirit, Rijeka boasts a rich and dynamic cultural history. It is one of the few Croatian cities with a feminine name, making it an ideal meeting point for women from across the region and the world. Rijeka offers a vibrant mix of attractions, including top-tier hotels, Michelin-starred restaurants, a thriving cultural scene, and venues for both day and night entertainment. These qualities made Rijeka the perfect host for Women's Weekend.
The third consecutive Women's Weekend will be held at the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, located in the Art Quarter, which has become Rijeka's cultural hub. Once a neglected industrial complex known as "Benčić" by locals, the area has been revitalized into a major cultural priority for the city. It now stands as one of the largest cultural infrastructure projects in Croatia. The Art Quarter encompasses the Museum of the City of Rijeka, commercial spaces, the Children's House, the Stribor Department of the City Library, the Art Cinema, the City Puppet Theatre, the City Library, and the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art.
