Lara Spalldi Barišić, MD, is an expert in the field of gynecology and obstetrics with extensive experience and an impressive educational background. She graduated in medicine from the University of Maastricht in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, after which she specialized in gynecology and obstetrics at the prestigious University Hospital Maastricht/UMC in Maastricht. She further honed her skills as a researcher in the areas of gynecology, obstetrics, pediatrics, and neurophysiology, contributing to scientific development.

Lara earned a Master’s degree in ultrasound, specifically advanced ultrasound in gynecology and obstetrics. Her expertise and approach have been enriched through numerous postdoctoral specializations abroad, particularly in the Netherlands and Belgium.

She accumulated professional experience both internationally (in the Netherlands) and in Croatia, where she worked at the private clinic VERITAS in Zagreb and the gynecological practice of Dr. Kulišić in Zadar. Lara was also engaged in primary healthcare, working at PZZ Zagreb and PZZ Zadar.

Her dedicated efforts and contributions to medicine were recognized with the VAM award from the Association “Sve za nju” for assisting oncology patients and raising public awareness about the challenges faced by those dealing with cancer.

In addition to her clinical work, Lara has excelled in organizing medical conferences and educational events. She has been invited as a speaker to over 40 conferences worldwide, sharing her knowledge and experience with the global medical community. Notably, she has served as the Director of the IAN DONALD International Ultrasound School in Croatia since 2015.

Her work has not gone unnoticed in the field of publications, having authored over 30 papers in reputable international and domestic medical journals.
