Irena Weber, born in 1973, graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb. She began her career in the financial market in 2000 at the investment bank CA IB d.d. (Creditanstalt Investment Bank), where she worked until 2008. She led and participated in numerous restructuring and privatization projects, mergers, and acquisitions in Croatia and the region.

In mid-2008, she moved to Hypo Alpe-Adria-Bank d.d. (now Addiko Bank d.d.), joining the team responsible for the bank’s restructuring and the preparation of the reprivatization process. She led the Investment Banking Department, Corporate Banking Department, and later the Retail Banking Department.

In 2016, she assumed the position of a member of the management board at KentBank, responsible for the Corporate Banking Sector, Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (SME) Banking Sector, Legal Affairs Sector, and IT Sector. She introduced and implemented internet and mobile banking at KentBank.

In May 2017, she was engaged in the Extraordinary Administration of the Agrokor Group as an executive director responsible for non-core assets. From March 2018, as the Deputy Extraordinary Commissioner, she actively participated in the negotiation and implementation of the settlement, as well as negotiations with Agrokor’s creditors. Upon the establishment of Fortenova Group, she held the position of Deputy CEO and Chief Operating Officer. She left Fortenova Group in October 2019.

Irena Weber assumed the position of CEO of HUP (Croatian Employers’ Association) from her role as a member of the management board at Inspire Investments, a company managing private capital and alternative investment funds. She is a licensed investment advisor and a licensed securities broker.

She is a regular participant and panelist at professional conferences, seminars, and events, and has attended numerous internal and external training sessions and educational programs. Irena is fluent in English and French.
