Zvezdana Žujo

Zvezdana Žujo, co-owner and CEO of the agency Communis Sarajevo, started her professional career in the advertising industry in Belgrade. After four years of dedicated work at the Saatchi&Saatchi agency, she decided to transfer her expertise to the market of Bosnia and Herzegovina. After moving to Sarajevo, she founded the Communis agency, which became one of the leading full-service advertising agencies in Bosnia and Herzegovina over the next 25 years.

Under her leadership, Communis today has twenty employees who work for more than sixty clients from different industrial sectors and as many as fifteen markets. Continuity of quality and trust is expressed through the fact that over seventy percent of employees have been working loyally at the agency for more than fifteen years.

More than a hundred former employees of Communis, after gaining work experience in the agency, today occupy high positions in various local, regional, and international companies.

Zvezdana is not only a leader in this business, but she is also truly dedicated to the development of young talents. In cooperation with three faculties of the University of Sarajevo, Zvezdana provided internships for more than 250 students. Furthermore, her contribution to the academic community is reflected in more than thirty lectures given at the Faculties of Economics in Sarajevo, Banja Luka and Mostar.

Her dedication to the advertising industry is reflected in her active membership in all relevant industry bodies in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Her expertise was also recognized through her role as a jury member for local and regional creative advertising festivals. Additionally, she has been a member of the Women’s Mentoring Network for three years, an initiative launched by Addiko Bank Sarajevo and Deloitte Sarajevo. From the very beginning, she has been a member of the Woman.com club, and she also gave lectures at the Festival of Contemporary Women in Tuzla for two years in a row.

Under her leadership, Agency Communis won more than thirty prestigious local and regional awards. However, Zvezdana points out that her greatest reward is the trust placed by the clients, some of whom have been with the agency from its foundation, thus building long-term partnership relationships. She is also proud of the fact that the agency organizes the largest and most prestigious business and technology conference in Bosnia and Herzegovina, NetWork, which will be held for the twelfth time this year.

Although Zvezdana is a veteran in the world of advertising, her enthusiasm does not wane. She is still passionate about her work and enjoys working in the creative and dedicated environment of the Communis agency.
