Lenka Šajina is an entrepreneur and expert in developing authentic and sustainable tourism in Istria. She is the founder of the Istra na pijatu project, focused on promoting local eno-gastronomic heritage, traditions, and Istrian stories by connecting producers, restaurateurs, and the community.

She has over 20 years of experience in tourism, during which she has led and developed destination projects, events, and promotional activities, including work within the tourist board system and as Director of the Tourist Board of the Municipality of Žminj. She has also built experience as a travel agency manager and tour guide, continuously advancing her expertise in heritage interpretation, where she is a certified heritage interpreter. Lenka actively contributes to the preservation of local identity as President of the Čakavian Assembly Chair in Barban. Her work has also been recognized through her role as a Slow Food ambassador, promoting the values of local food, tradition, and sustainable development.
