Karla Pudar
Karla Pudar is an expert in the fields of culture and human rights, with experience gained in both public institutions and the civil sector.
She studied Art History and Croatian Language and Literature at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb. For years, she worked in the Culture Department of the Student Center Zagreb – Culture of Change, specializing in production and cultural management. In addition, she was involved with two Zagreb-based non-governmental organizations focused on culture and human rights. Throughout her career, Karla has led international projects, curated numerous visual arts programs and exhibitions, participated in various artistic committees, and conducted educational workshops. Following the devastating earthquakes in the Sisak-Moslavina County, she joined SOLIDARNA – Foundation for Human Rights and Solidarity, initially as the Crisis Relief Coordinator for the 5.5 Fund, which provided support to earthquake victims. She currently serves as the Executive Manager of SOLIDARNA.
Karla is actively engaged in SOLIDARNA’s Women’s Fund, dedicated to the protection of women’s rights and the promotion of gender equality. She contributes to key activities of the fund, which focus on providing financial assistance to women and children who have survived violence, supporting feminist organizations and initiatives working to safeguard women’s rights, and advocating for structural changes in public policies.
