Ilija Jandrić
Ilija Jandrić is a journalist with 30 years of experience across various media. He graduated in journalism from the Faculty of Political Science in Zagreb and, as a Chevening Scholar, earned an MA in TV Journalism from Goldsmiths College, University of London. He began working in journalism while still in high school as a freelance contributor to several media outlets in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He was the first editor of the news program at Otvoreni Radio (1998–1999) and editor of the news program at the former Obiteljski Radio (now Antena Zagreb) from 1999 to 2002. After his postgraduate studies in London, he transitioned to television, working as a reporter and editor for the news program of Croatian Radiotelevision (HRT) from 2003 to 2011, and served as HRT correspondent in Slovenia (2005–2007). He continued his career in Sarajevo as program editor at Al Jazeera Balkans, the first regional news TV channel (2011–2013). From 2013 to 2015, he worked in public relations as media advisor to the President of the Croatian Parliament.
From 2015 to 2025, he worked as an editor, presenter, and reporter at the cable news channel N1 Croatia, where he also hosted and produced the talk show Pressing. He has received several professional journalism awards, including the Marija Jurić Zagorka award from the Croatian Journalists’ Association for Best Radio Program in 2001. He taught the media practicum Television at the Faculty of Political Science, University of Zagreb (2003–2005), and has been a lecturer at Edward Bernays Polytechnic College in Zagreb since 2020.
Since 2025, he has been working as an independent journalist, producing the podcasts Poslovni svijet s Ilijom Jandrićem for Poslovni dnevnik and Fraktura BookTalk for the publishing house Fraktura.
