Hrvoje Krešić
Hrvoje Krešić joined Nova TV’s news team in February 2022 and is one of the most prominent domestic television journalists.
Born in Neum, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hrvoje studied the Croatian language and anthropology at the Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb. He started working as a journalist in 2005 and was the Zagreb correspondent for Novi list for six years. In 2011, he moved to RTL and began his career as a television reporter. In search of new challenges, in 2017 he moved from RTL to the N1 news channel. Hrvoje studied journalism at the University of Oxford’s prestigious Reuters Institute for Journalism. During his 16-year career, he has reported for major international news organizations such as CNN.
Krešić specializes in monitoring domestic politics and the economy, as well as foreign policy events, such as presidential and parliamentary elections in European countries or important business summits. Among other things, he reported from the Vatican in 2013 on the departure of Pope Benedict XVI and the election of Pope Francis, as well as on events from the Middle East in 2009, especially from the Gaza Strip. For his work, he has received important recognitions and awards, including the Croatian Journalists’ Association awards for print journalism in 2009, for television journalism in 2015, and finally for journalist of the year in 2018. He was also the winner of the European Young Reporter award in 2008.
