Ema Branica

Ema Branica began her journalism career at Provjereno, joining the editorial team in 2008. Since then, she has worked as a reporter and, in 2021, took on the role of host. She studied at the Faculty of Political Science and, in addition to Provjereno, contributed as editor and host to Flash News, Croatia’s first fast-paced online news format, which aired on DNEVNIK.hr and Doma TV. As a Provjereno reporter, Ema has produced a wide range of reports — from extreme assignments like walking on hot coals, skydiving, sleeping in an igloo, and swimming in icy waters, to investigative stories on crime, socially sensitive issues, and injustices. She has exposed numerous legal violations and frauds, covering topics such as worker abuse, illegal waste dumps, and systemic flaws in the justice system. For years, she has been highlighting corruption, lack of transparency, problematic laws, and legal absurdities in Croatia.
