Danijela Kolanović

An economist, she founded her company DEM d.o.o. at the age of 23, specializing in laboratory outfitting and the distribution of laboratory materials and equipment. At the same time, she worked in her mother’s company, Hidrolab, an authorized and accredited laboratory for testing wastewater, groundwater and surface water, waste, sediments, sludge, soil, and ecotoxicology. In 2016, she took over the management of Hidrolab following her mother’s retirement, successfully developed the business, and sold it in 2023. She remained with the corporation for two additional years to ensure a smooth transition. Today, she continues to run her company DEM d.o.o., which is approaching its 30th anniversary.

Over the years, she has also expanded into the tourism sector and now successfully manages the rental of several of her own properties: in Istria (www.villa-carlotta.com), Opatija (Petra Hills and Petra Hills Majestic), and Fužine (Casa Boho) – www.casa-boho.com).
