Andrea Čović Vidović

Andrea Covic Vidovic has over 15 years of professional experience in EU affairs, diplomacy, communication, management and mentorship. She holds a master’s degree in Contemporary European Studies (University of Sussex) and Linguistics (University of Zagreb). She conducted her PhD research in Comparative Politics at the University of Zagreb and Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Relations in the USA. Since July 2022, Andrea has been in Croatia and since February 2023 she is also Deputy Head of Representation. Prior to her role at the European Commission, she led Public Relations of the European Parliament in Croatia since Croatia’s EU membership in 2013. In the early 2000s Andrea worked as a diplomat on Croatia’s EU membership negotiations and subsequently managed EU sectors at the Croatian Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Labor and Pension System. In her free time, Andrea volunteers for various niche organizations and is the author of the project “AI in PR” for the Croatian Public Relations Association, as well as the “Women in the Lead” mentorship program of the Academy for Political Development.
