STAND UP Workshop – Stand Up Against Street Harassment

The STAND UP – Stand Up Against Street Harassment workshop is an educational program implemented by the SOLIDARNA Foundation in partnership with L’Oréal Paris. What is harassment? How can we recognize it? How can we help others while also protecting ourselves? These are some of the key topics addressed in the workshop, with the aim of empowering citizens to recognize and respond to harassment in public spaces. The program focuses on raising awareness and teaching concrete, safe intervention methods through the proven 5D methodology.According to international research conducted by L’Oréal Paris in partnership with Ipsos, 80% of women have experienced sexual harassment in public spaces at least once, and 76% have witnessed it. For this reason, the workshop provides practical tools for action — from distracting and delegating, to documenting and responding directly in a non-violent way — so that each of us can contribute to creating safer public spaces.

Through these educational sessions, we aim not only to inform, but also to encourage civic courage and shared responsibility — because harassment is never the fault of the person experiencing it, but a societal issue that we can and must address together.
