Leave Me Alone!
Whatever a woman does—it’s never enough, it’s too much, it’s wrong, or it’s suspicious. If she speaks loudly, she’s annoying. If she stays quiet, she has no opinion. If she succeeds, someone will ask how. If she fails, it won’t be forgotten.
This panel dissects the culture of constant judgment of women—in the media, on social networks, in public spaces, and in private conversations. Why are women’s bodies, decisions, ambitions, and personal choices still considered fair ground for commentary? Who gets to have an opinion, and who pays the price of other people’s expectations? While relaxed in tone, this conversation tackles essential issues—from public exposure and the boundaries of privacy, to the pressure of perfection and the double standards that rarely allow women to simply be human. This is not a panel about justification, but about liberation: from the need to please everyone, explain ourselves to everyone, and constantly prove that we deserve to be where we are.
