Book Club by Women’s Weekend brings book promotions, workshops, and educational sessions
Women’s Weekend once again presents inspiring topics and authors at Book Club by Women’s Weekend, taking place on March 7 and 8 at Rijeka City Library. This event will bring together authors and offer workshops and educational sessions that connect literature, art, career development, and personal growth. Rijeka City Library will once again become a meeting place for book lovers and a hub for exchanging ideas. Admission to Book Club by Women’s Weekend is free for all visitors.
One of the highlights of the event is the book promotion of Knjiga s glazbom – Cvit samoće with Nera Stipičević, scheduled for Friday, March 7, from 3:30 PM to 4:15 PM. This unique edition complements the humanitarian podcast La fleur de la solitude, which is streamed in over 86 countries. In collaboration with five French Alliances in Croatia, the book is accompanied by a special program titled “Under the Parisian Sky”, offering a musical-poetic experience and a roundtable discussion on the role of art and art therapy. Nera Stipičević, an academic actress and member of the ZGK Komedija ensemble, connects theater, music, literature, and fashion in her projects, advocating for women’s mental health, authentic living, and personal growth.
The intimate storytelling event #taboomic will take place on Friday, March 7, from 5:00 PM to 5:45 PM. Participants will share personal stories about life challenges such as mental health, menstruation, menopause, anorexia, cancer, and death. The goal of this event is to create a space for open dialogue and greater understanding of taboo topics. Attendees can participate as speakers or as part of the audience for support. The session will be led by Petra Salarić, founder of pstaboo, the world’s first consulting company specializing in taboo topics. The number of participants is limited, and registration is required via the provided link.
On Saturday, March 8, from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM, there will be an educational session on business protocol and communication, organized by Edukacije s potpisom. Participants will gain practical tools for building a strong professional image and developing business communication skills. The session will be led by Tina Tödtling, owner of EvenTine and author of Protokol događanja u praksi, along with Renata Potočnik, owner of EduComm PR and a public relations expert.
The personal development workshop “Success is a Choice” will take place on Saturday, March 8, from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM. This session will focus on balancing key areas of life, including career, finances, health, relationships, and personal growth. Participants will use motivational cards to define goals and find their path to success. The workshop will be led by Melita Pavlek, an NLP trainer, media and communication expert, and certified coaching mentor.
Book Club by Women’s Weekend is an exclusive addition to the Women’s Weekend program, offering a unique opportunity for inspiring encounters, open discussions, and valuable learning experiences. It is designed for everyone interested in literature, storytelling, business communication, and personal development.
